A lighthouse in the middle of Prussia

We have arrived in Berlin without incident.

The cheap tickets I was able to obtain landed us at Tegel, which is not the ideal airport in Berlin. There is no direct U-Bahn, S-Bahn, or tram service to it, but a bus connected us to a U-Bahn station fairly easily, which got us to Prenzlauerberg.

The hotel is nice but a little odd. When booking online I had requested a triple because the service wouldn't let me book a double. There was also the "dormitory" grade room listed which could sleep six.

At the front desk, the clerk asked "Just the two of you? It's a triple."

"That's fine," I answered.

"Okay, plenty of space for you then."

We went up to the room and found out what he meant. By "triple", they meant that they gave us a room with six beds and only made up three of them. It must be over 400 square feet and looks distinctly like a hostel room that we get all to ourselves.

Pictures later.
