Dressed in uniforms so fine
A few weeks ago, I experimented with dressing more formally than is the norm here; black jeans, a button-down shirt and a tie. It went well, and convinced me that I should sharpen my dress code overall.
Subsequently, I purchased a dozen solid-color ties and more slim-fit dress shirts.
Reactions have been mixed. The Cap'n has been the most positive of the opinions at work.
"That's a sharp look for you," he said as we were ascending the stairs after lunch Tuesday.
"Thanks, that's sort of what I'm shooting for," I returned.
"It's just a little bit blackshirt."
I smiled. "That's not entirely an accident."
He did me one better. "With you, I always figure that nothing's accidental."
I will miss him. But now I can justify visiting Zurich.
