Just be still with me, you wouldn't believe what I've been through

Like a lightening bolt killing a hiker, it became clear only as it hurt.

I don't trust.

Hands up, everyone I've known over a decade. You're basically grandfathered in. Most of you, anyway.

There are small visas granted - trust for four or six hours - and these usually end with my departure. Why always my departure? Because I don't like letting strangers into my home. That's gotten better over the last decade; more people have been in my current apartment than even knew where I used to live. I can maintain trust until I dress and go home. Everyone has a nice time, and I go home.

But at the end of the day I cannot really trust.

The lightening hurt, but it had to happen.
