Turn the gold to chrome

The friends I made a year ago in a now-defunct bar (some of the nicest people I've ever met) now want to invest in the side company. I assure you, it's not out of friendship.

They like me because I'm smart and presentable; sometimes I'm even sweet and honest.

I like them more for separating liking me from investing. We are worth investing in, and if they pass we'll still be friends.

That said, they've made their money doing this. They picked me up in a bar; I might have been any Seattle kid. Invited to their home, I've been myself (angels and demons in a complicated ratio).

There's no one better to make money off us. B and I will have dinner with them Thursday.
